Eric Winblad
(Azuza Pacific University)

Eric Winblad was named the BRINE-NAIA 2008 National Player of the Year.  Eric played his entire club soccer career with the West Coast Futbol family from the time he began as an U-10 player until he finished as an U-19 Premier player.  Eric currently is a nationally recognized midfielder for Azuza Pacific University.  Click here for a link to the full story.

Shane Ascheri
(California State University at Bakersfield)

Shane Ascheri of the 2008 WCFC BU17 Premier team committed to Division 1 California State Univeristy at Bakersfield on a full scholarship. Shane had been with the West Coast family for 3 years when he made his college decision. Congratulations and well done Shane!!!!

Amy Ludlum
(Massachussetts Institute of Technology)

College Sports Information Director’s of America (CoSIDA) announced that Amy Ludlum was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Second team.  The West Coast FC and Capistrano Valley High School alumni was also named to the NSCAA/Adidas All-New England team.  Click here for a link to the full story.

Katie Carny
(UNLV)

Senior forward Katie Carny is named to the NSCAA Scholar All American Third team.  Katie distinguished herself both on the field setting new UNLV Rebel recoreds with 19 career assists and nine game winner and off the field by making deans list every semester.   Click here for a link to the full story.

Kailyn Kugler
(UC Santa Barbara)

Freshman Kailyn Kugler from the University of California at Santa Barbara was named "Freshman of the Year" by the Big West.  This is only the second time in the last few years that a Freshman has been named from Santa Barbara.  Click here for the full story.

Kristin Player
(Univ. of North Carolina at Greensboro)

Kristin Player was named the SoCon Freshman of the Year and was selected to the all-conference first-team after leading all first-year players in scoring with nine goals and four assists.  Player also led the league in game-winning goals with five.  Click here to read the full story.
